As Business Analyst, and as part of the Knowledge Transfer Team working with the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Service Staff inside NCSC, the incumbent will be responsible for:

  • performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes and supporting collation and Transition of Knowledge and Learning from Experience (LFE) inside NCSC perimeter.
  • Understand NCSC activities, operating environment, stakeholders, organisation, rules and regulations.
  • Document current “As Is” business processes and information model, gathering all relevant information, from different sources of knowledge.
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams, contributing to generate maps of knowledge
  • Analyse, working with the O&M staff, the requirements and match them with current IT solutions, facilitating the Business Processes Re-engineering (BPR) through the implementation of best practices
  • Recommend and facilitate the business change process to meet business needs by identifying, assessing and documenting business requirements, recommending business priorities and advising business on options.
  • Contribute, when requested, to the development of a change management, training, and testing plan to facilitate the adoption of solutions and new processes

Skills, Competencies, and Toolsets:

  • Posseses a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science combined with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in as Business Analyst or similar position, or a Secondary education and completed advanced vocational education (leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation) with 5 years post related experience
  • Proficient in strategic functional architecture and its analysis and management
  • Strong knowledge of business process modelling and functional analysis methods (processes and information modelling, use case design, application flow charts, data flows diagram, etc.)
  • High level on collection, analysis and reporting of operational performance data
  • UML modelling Tools (e.g. Rational Rose, Star UML, Enterprise Architect).
  • Requirements Management Tools (e.g. DOORS, Rational Requisite Pro.)
  • Experience on investigating and analysing complex scenarios
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and successfully articulate complex issues to a variety of audiences and teams
  • Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements is desireable

NATO SECRET Security clearance is mandatory.
